Setup
The Set Up procedure consists of a few stages from a technical
point of view.
Stage 1. Payment data transfer
Depending on type of goods or services sold in internet
shop, as well as the internet shop software settings, following
modes of authorization request transfer to ASSIST server
will be available.
- Mode 1 Payment
details transfer only. Applicable if your internet shops
software does not store customer data. This information
(Personal data, address, e-mail, telephone number) entered
by customer on ASSIST server.
- Mode 2 Payment
details and customer data transfer. Applicable when the
customer enters his/her personal data on your internet
shop site.
- Mode 4 (hidden) Payment
details, customer data and credit card data transfer in
a hidden from the customer way. In this case the customer's
browser does not redirected to ASSIST server and communication
goes on at inter-server level.
- Test mode
Applicable for testing communication between internet
shop and ASSIST authorization server.
You will have to get a permission to use 3-th or 4-th mode
from one of ASSIST member banks. SSL certificate shall be
installed on your internet shop server then.
Stage 2. Setting the skin of ASSIST authorization pages
When paying in your shop, a customer will be redirected
to authorization page of ASSIST server. All shops connected
to ASSIST system will have this page with a standard skin
by default. You may want to leave it as it is or change
it completely or just a part of it.
Some of the changes can be made in Authorization skins
section available for ASSIST member shops (means you have
to sign up first). You have to use your login and password
to enter this section. You can change headings, logo as
well as background of the pages at your taste.
If you happen to want more constructive skin changes you
will have to edit XSL-templates
authorization pages are based on.
Stage 3. Choosing the way of getting authorization results.
You may want to choose the following ways of communication
with ASSIST for getting authorization results.
Most guaranteed and quick ways of getting authorization
results will be:
- Getting authorization results with in automated mode
- Viewing authorization results on ASSIST site
These options above will be effective when selling goods/services
online in real time.
The following options of getting authorization results
in ASSIST system (not 100% guaranteed) will be less reliable.
- ASSIST will send over authorization results by e-mail
to the shop
- ASSIST will send over e-mail with 24 hr. reports containing
authorization results to the shop daily.
